OPA - A Different Approach

Wise Fool acts as Fiscal Sponsor for Organizacao de Permacultura e Arte (OPA), a non-profit organization based in the city of Salvador, capital of Bahia, in the northeastern coast of Brazil. Opa’s mission is to educate and bring awareness through Permaculture and Art, with the intention of promoting a sustainable, creative and cooperative society. OPA was co-founded by Isabela Coelho, an educator and performing artist, and graduate in International Affairs from the University of Colorado. She has worked on arts and social projects with youth and adults in Brazil, Nicaragua and the USA. Isabela has worked with Wise Fool on many projects over the years, and currently tours with Wise Fool's aerial stilt production, Flexion. After attending a Permaculture course, Isabela began combining her professional work in education and arts with Permaculture. She is co-founder and co-director of OPA.
