Peñasco Theatre Collective

The Peñasco Theatre Collective supports the rural Peñasco community by providing positive activities in a familiar and empowering environment. Activities include a free two-week circus and visual arts summer camp for Peñasco youth, ongoing classes in circus arts for adults and kids, and a huge variety of shows ranging from circus cabarets to local youth punk bands to flamenco theatre, open mics, and movies. Live/work residencies available.

IGNITE: Raising Truth in the Streets

On May 1st Wise Fool led this International Workers Day event to inspire our local community and honor the many kinds of work that are done here in Northern New Mexico—to celebrate community efforts, social and environmental justice struggles, cultural creation, harvesting from and healing the land, the work of everyday survival and of immigrant rights, and the struggle for workers’ rights.

Community Celebrations

Over the years, WFNM has worked with countless community groups to help add the color, joy, and unique draw of masks, stiltwalkers, and giant puppets to their events.

Work with Native Communities

Seeking to balance the diversity of our core membership with the projects we pursue, Wise Fool has made a commitment to work in and support Native and Indigenous based educational and arts based programs in the State of New Mexico and beyond. Each project in these communities has further developed the cultural competency of Wise Fool's individual artists and strengthened the company's overall programming.
